The Crown Chakra

The Crown Chakra

The Crown Chakra presents our link with spirit - godhead - supreme force in life. It is through this centre that we build our spiritual contacts and receive spiritual energy into the energy system.

Its natural tone is violet, and it should be visualised with a globe of spinning silver white flashing light about three to four inches above the head.

If the Crown Chakra falls out of alignment it can cause wide-ranging problems. On the minor side migraines, lack of concentration, hair loss and inertia occur. In the middle range there can be lack of hope, depression, memory loss, sleeplessness, and despair. At the major end of the scale, brain tumours, violence, sadism, and cruelty can emerge.

We rely heavily on this centre to develop our vision of the horizon, and to reach for the unseen realms (though we actually do this through the Brow Chakra). We are unable to develop belief systems, nor to trust in ethereal things if we have a blockage here. This will lead to the heavy, bogged-down feeling that we can all identify with from time to time.

However, the Crown chakra is less dependent upon our personal ability to keep its energies flowing freely than any of the others. Simply by thinking about reaching up through the top of the skull you can connect (if only briefly) with the energy of the Universe. This will revitalise a flagging centre.

As a matter of interest, it's wise not to allow meddling with this centre - it can be knocked out of alignment by the interruption of free-flow energy, so don't go letting all and sundry touch the top of your head!!! And re-establish your link by thinking through the top of your skull after going to the hairdresser!!!
