If she has developed an allergy to penicillin that could explain lymph nodes really swelling. That's not wildly amusing. I'm glad she doing a bit better.

Thanks... saw Mum today, and she's certainly feeling better in herself - but her physical health is still not great. She's still got a nasty cough, and now has really bad backache. She's going back to the doctor on Monday for her chest...

Sorry, missed this. Mum's feeling a lot better, not totally well but definitely the flu has gone and she seems in much better spirits than she would have been usually on antibiotics. Also she had really bad backache and that's now better:-) She never did go back to the doctor because she felt better...
