Today I am grateful for....

Long golden rays of slanting sunlight, dappled as they pass through the last of summer's leaves to paint my garden....

You?

Working from my home office and being able to view (and listen to) the woods out the back picture window. It's the end of the fall migration season for birds here on the "Atlantic Flyway." The neotropical migrants have gone and the short-distance migrants are voicing their final opinions before heading to their wintering grounds. I love that their songs are punctuating my morning.

My assistant who took over the training I was scheduled to do on Monday morning, which means I get to take the day off since I have to work all weekend.

....my lovely crazy animals. One of the cats put her foot plonk in the yoke of my egg a few minutes ago - her response was so comical I am still chuckling about it. That'll teach me to eat at my desk....

LOL.. Our youngest (5mnths) would do just the same.. He's quite a foody!
He just caught his first bird this afternoon.. My partner was outside trimming the garden and I was upstairs taking a catnap; when I stept into the living room it was strewn with small feathers (and tháts an understatement!!) He must have enjoyed himself tremendously, I'd take it.. from the state the room was in..
I wasn't that happy.. but I could laugh though

-----------
Grateful for myself allowing myself to start writing further in my book :D Enjoyed it!!
