it is a peony indeed, in my own backyard :D

btw.. I found out this year.. that there are peony tulips..
amazingly beautiful!! (and with a sturdy stem ;-) )

I warn you... googl'm.. and fall in lóve! :yahoo:

But see I got this big space in this flower just here see (points). When do they flower?

Last peony in my garden just opened yesterday, rest have seen better days..

The tulip version... those were in bloom around mothersday

Hmmmm......now that's interesting.....

I have poppies that look like peonies in bloom right now....great fluffy red balls of petal....really gorgeous.

I still haven't had time to cut down my images.....which is good in one way, but frustrating in another - never did get the poppy.....first it blowed and then it rained.

Lovely.... my mom has many Hostas in her yard. It's where all the wild bunnies hang out. :)
