My aunt has moved into a nursing home temporarily for rehabilitation, so that is rather quick after the onset.
I'm praying she is more accepting than I know her to be..
At 92 she didn't want a stroller eventhough she has knee-issues: "I'm not an elderly!!" (uhr..at what age would you be elderly than?)
No changes for gran, either way.
Knowing her, she takes things easy now.. hopefully in her head too
As for my friends dad; his throat has been obstructed so he couldn't eat/drink, which he only mentioned at an appointment at the hospital (2 days later)..
That appointment was the start of radiation, which he hopes adds a year to his life
The doctors presume the radiation will make room for swallowing again; we sincerely hope and pray for such!
