My Son is 27, he has agonising back pain, GP has now referred him for MRI scan as the level of pain isnt normal (her words), for his age and with no previous or recent injury. We are all worried. He has pain from mid to low back, shoulder blades area, headaches and nausea, pins and needles in hands and feet intermittantly.
I dont know if he coukd have strained somewhere and not realised at the time and its got worse. His job is heavy lifting but now he cant so is part time light duties but really struggling. Its dragging him down now, painful to sit or walk and sleep is disturbed.

Any healing he would appreciate please. His name is Dean.

Hi polkadotty, that sounds agonicing indeed! Poor him!

For any healing it is essential to have the receivers permission.. Please ask your son if he is ok with this, thnx!

That's a trapped nerve......the pins and needles give it up completely.

Tell him to do his best when walking about to maintain a strong upright posture....I know this from bitter experience...you tend to bow down when your back is hurting....but the spinal column is much happier kept at its normal posture....I know this might be scary....but it could release the nerve. When he is in bed and fully supported, ask him if he can stretch out a lot....arms above his head, toes down-pointing....tell him to make himself as long as he can gently.

Have him insist on a spinal x-ray cos that's the only sure way to work out if he has collapsed a disc.

And insist to him you can recover...cos believe me...when it happened to me I was convinced I was heading for a wheelchair, and I cannot even express how I was managing that idea....if he is offered traction treatment tell him to go for it even though it sounds horrid. It IS uncomfortabl4e.....but it is also a really excellent stretch.

He's on my list.

He wasnt in continous agony last night, but he cannot have his back/spine touched at all, so painful. Massive surprise tho to get the call yesterday to book MRI, had prepared for longer wait. Hes having that 28th January, i am going with him. He finds that not sitting, standing too long, helps so he moves position etc regularly. He feels like his spine will snap n he will fall back, like a puppet. His work are not happy but have to follow doctors advice on note, which is light duties, theyve lost their donkey for all the heavy lifting. Theyre being pushy but hes not going to be bullied, hes in real pain n worried to be honest about his back.

I will be asking questions at MRI appt.

Thankyou for asking.

Love n Light xx

It sounds like a trapped nerve indeed..
Can't an osteopath do anything with that? As in professional massage

Am thinking something like next Seedling. The GP was concerned at his level of pain at hus age without any injuries hence the mri referral. I guess she's making sure before suggesting next thing.
