Honeysuckle

Does anybody know of any disease or bug that honeysuckle is particularly prone to? I've got a relatively new vine showing brown spots on leaves. I cannot see any insects, but it's not looking very happy.

I have 2 fairly new honeysuckle vines. One died and one looks good. Sad state of affairs if you ask me. I believe that they are prone to aphids, but you can usually see them, about the size of a pin head. Roundish black spots could be the sign of a fungi or bacterial infection which is spread by watering from above, or in hot and humid conditions. You might try pruning all the nasty looking stuff out and see if it grows back with healthy leaves. Do not compost the leaves, or the plant if it dies. Could spread whatever it is.
Good luck!

with some orchard trees i recently had some luck of giving belladonna 6c (like, 5 pills crushed up and fresh water, just once)
and the new leaves grew nice and healthy, and fast. all the old leaves had brown spots red spots and black spots, or just holes. they are now old and the new ones are nice and fresh. it was amazing and the first time i ever tried homeopathy on a plant.

this is just in addition to the advice you already received!

i love honeysuckle, its one of my favourites if not my favourite of favourtites. hope yours gets well soon.

please do give the belladonna 6c a go, it really helps, just disolve them in a litre of water, shake well about 50 times, and pour it on the roots, then water it more as needed, so the stuff goes in.
the leaves with spots won't change but the new leaves will be fine. i tried this on several plants and it really does work to fight the condition that is draining the plant ! :aikido:
