Your Spiritual Inspirations January 14th
2003: What/Who is it that you think has contributed most to your spiritual growth, in a truly inspirational way, that you would like to share with others? And here are your replies - please let us know what you think by mailing us. Phyllis Currott - Book of Shadows. A fantastic story of a modern day witch who has shared her journey in this book. An inspirational book that makes you realise Wiccan/Pagan religions are ancient and beautiful and inspired me to become more involved in these areas. Graham Miller (Personal Friend). Got me started
on my witchy ways, by introducing me to Tarot and your site! 3 years later
I am still here and glad that I met Graham and that he helped me on my
journey. Thank you for letting me share this with you and others: All of these were necessary to make all that I was searching for fall into place and finally let me see my spiritual path completely. I have read, and loved, the Tarot for over 20 years, and the cards always talked about changes and transformations. Nothing happened for a long time, then I found these wonder-women who got together once a month to reclaim and celebrate the fact that the Goddess is alive and magic is afoot. From there it just grew. I was able to find classes at the University in prehistoric art and paintings. Later, I studied the goddess figurines, along with more and more articles, essays and research on the Goddess and the place that women should really have had in the history of mankind!!! A wonderful series in Anthropological studies is that of Maria Gambuitis - especially her Language of the Goddess. And, let me not forget The Spiral Dance, by Starhawk. Well, this has all evolved over the past thirteen years. Now, and each day, I seem to find more and more women - and men too - who are turning to the peaceful power of our earth and preserving the natural flow of just being alive. The main teaching of all of the Goddess works seems to always be: "Don't control others, and do not allow yourself to be controlled by fear or guilt". I still believe in God and Jesus - but I do believe that mankind needs to know that there is a female presence - the whole of nature depends on the balance and union of the male and female to survive. There are many of us who think that alongside God sits the Goddess. The Yin and Yang, Positive and Negative - all make balance. I align with the Goddess Hecate and I find great peace and strength when I look for Her within myself. Thank you for letting me share all of this, Please let us know what you think by mailing us.
