Yellow

True yellow is the colour of daffodils. It corresponds to the solar plexus chakra in the diaphragm - the power centre. Yellow is a cleansing colour, whichinduces self-confidence and cheerfulness. It also stimulates the intellect so is a very useful colour to surround yourself with during periods of study. It enables you to both absorb more information, and to link it efficiently inside your memory to encourage retrieval.

In therapy it is used in cases of depression, mental fatigue and confusion, though very often gold will be chosen as the preferred option when working directly upon the SP.

In the general environment, yellow can prove rather over-stimulating if present in large quantities, provoking too much mental activity and therefor stopping you from resting. It's great for use in rooms intended for activity - like playrooms - though.

Lighter tones are very supportive for people healing from long-term illnesses or recovering from mental or emotional problems.
