Supportive, Insightful, Grounded, Helpful
I am a somatic therapist in Santa Barbara, California. I have been learning about and from the Tarot for 20 years. In that time I have mainly referred to Crowley, Arrien, and Ziegler. I LOVE Jan's writings on the cards. It always feels supportive when I read her descriptions... like she's got my back somehow and totally knows what I'm going though 'cause she's been there herself. It's very clear that she has done a great deal of spiritual & intellectual work, and I appreciate the grounded, embodied, real-life way she presents her insights. I have also learned some depth and complexity from her suggestions about how to interpret cards as they show up together. I also really enjoy her inclusion of the Rider Waite images and perspectives because they are unfamiliar to me yet so informative.

So helpful
The expansion of info here is tremendous. I have been using Jan's site interpretations for a long time, and always found them really hopeful and helpful. But the material in this Guide opens out a new layer of understanding. It's a really good buy.

So glad I bought this
It's comprehensive, containing all the stuff on the site plus a lot more. I had hit a bit of a flat patch in my study of the Tarot but this positive and wise Guide has helped me a lot. I feel re-energised.

Recently I bought the e-book of Jan Shepherd, Guide of Tarot-2nd edition and I was absolutely delighted with what I've read. I know her work through many Tarot readings she did for me along of this years, and I've always liked to see the precision, simplicity and the inspiration with which she writes, interpreting the Arcana of the Tarot, combining knowledge with empathy; she is able to get deeply into your soul. I really love her work. In this e-book every Arcana (Majors and Minors) is treated with the utmost respect and knowledge; she is remarkable in the efforts to give us some perspective on the differences between the traditional and modern Court Cards. One of the things I most enjoyed in this e-book is the Majors Exercise (6 Cards) design to help us to look inside ourselves. It is not a card layout to see the future but a method of self-knowledge only). This powerful exercise reveals us (if done according to the indications given) truly useful information about our feelings, talents and limitations.
This is one of those Guides that are always useful to have handy, to browse, learn and reconfirm our knowledge about the ancient art of Tarot. I look forward to the next e-book of Jan Shepherd. Thank you, Jan, for having offered us this generous gift! Blessed be.

This is terrific!
I am so glad I bought this Guide a little while ago. I have used the site's interpretations for a long time now, but the expansion available here has really opened my eyes. It's a really good resource for anybody interested in the tarot.
